Trident Creek Horse Haven was founded with a passion for helping horses in need. Our journey began when we witnessed the heartbreaking conditions some horses endure and decided to take action. With a commitment to providing exceptional care, we have successfully rehabilitated and rehomed numerous horses, giving them a second chance at life. Our dedication to each horse's well-being sets us apart, ensuring they receive the love and attention they deserve.
A stunning Morgan/Friesian cross, approximately 16 years old, with a spirit as strong as her graceful silhouette. Freya's past is a tale of resilience; abandoned for over three years, she had to fend for herself before finding her way to safety when she came to us in 2023. While we don’t know much about her early years, we do know she’s a fighter.
According to the vet, Freya has an old injury that, though healed, caused her muscle to heal too tightly. Despite this, she’s made incredible progress but needs ongoing care to thrive. Freya requires monthly chiropractic adjustments, PEMF treatments, and potentially injections to ensure her continued recovery.
Freya is broke to ride but does have certain limitations due to her condition. This amazing mare is now looking for a sponsor to help her on her journey to full rehabilitation and is also available for adoption to a loving home.
If you’re ready to be part of Freya’s story and support her in her next chapter, click her name to become a sponsor. Let’s give Freya the happy and healthy future she deserves!

Scout is a beautiful paint gelding whose spirit shines brighter than the hardships he endured.
When he first came to our rescue, his feet told the story of rough times. Cracked, overgrown, and pain with every step. But his heart? That was untouched. Despite the discomfort he carried, Scout greeted us with gentle eyes and a willingness to trust that went far beyond what we ever expected.
With patience, farrier care, and the steady rhythm of good feed and soft words, Scout began to transform. Day by day, he stepped a little lighter. He let his guard down. And soon, his true personality—sweet, steady, and quietly brave—emerged like sunshine after a long winter. Scout still has a ways to go, but is opening up more and more. Chili is a 20‑year‑old ranch horse who recently came to our rescue after discovering that life as a children’s lesson horse just wasn’t the right fit for him. And that’s okay — every horse deserves a place where they can be exactly who they are.
This handsome gentleman arrived with laminitis, a painful condition affecting his hooves, which means he needs specialized farrier care, soft footing, and a carefully managed diet. Despite it all, Chili greets every day with the calm, steady spirit of a true ranch veteran. Here, Chili gets to slow down, enjoy the quiet life, and receive all the care, love, and attention he needs to stay comfortable and happy. Watching him settle in and discover new friends has already been such a joy. If you’d like to support Chili’s ongoing hoof care and special feed, or just send him some love, we know he’d appreciate it—probably with a slow blink and a soft nuzzle. Just click on his name!
Sampson is a striking 4‑year‑old gelding with a story as bold as his one brilliant blue eye. Before coming to our rescue, he spent his days running wild and free, mostly untouched by human hands and living entirely on his own terms. Gaining his trust was no small task—catching him took two patient, challenging days—but it marked the beginning of a beautiful transformation.
Now, Sampson is learning that humans can be kind. He’s calm enough to eat from your hand, greeting quiet moments with curiosity rather than fear. Each day he grows a little braver, slowly accepting the halter and discovering that partnership can be gentle, steady, and safe.
Sampson still carries the spirit of the wild in his posture and his eyes, but he’s starting to let us into his world. With time, trust, and care, this once‑untouched gelding is well on his way to becoming a loyal companion with a remarkable story behind him.
